I've Given In ...

I usually don't like to do things that everyone else is doing b/c it's the cool thing to do (i.e. Harry Potter, skinny jeans - well besides the fact that I just don't look good in them, emo music ... you get the point). So when everyone started reading the Stephanie Meyer series, I decided I wasn't going to be cliche and read them too (besides the fact that they were apparently about vampires - just sounded so stupid to me). However, since I've been done with school, I've had a lot more free time that I've mostly been filling with copious amounts of TV-watching. Then on Saturday, Ryan and I went to Costco and were just browsing through the books (I was actually looking for the Hungry Girl cookbook) when I saw Twilight for only $6 something and thought 'why not, I have nothing better to do'.

So I brought it to work with me Monday and wasn't really planning on reading it unless I got really bored. Since we were training a new person to fill mine and Ryan's shift when I quit and Ryan goes to weekends, I was about to shoot myself out of boredom after lunch. By 7:00, I finally opened the book and started reading. Withing 20 minutes I knew I wasn't going to be able to put it down til I was done. I read until 10:30 when it was time to go home, then I read in the car as Ryan drove home, then I read until 3:30 in the morning, then I read in the car this morning while Ryan drove us around running errands. Needless to say, I read all 498 pages by 7:00 tonight. I'm so addicted! I fully intend on either borrowing Rachelle's New Moon if she calls me back tonight or going to WalMart to buy my own copy so I can read it at work tomorrow!

that is so weird, I thought the same thing about those books (that they sounded soooo dumb etc) but I keep almost buying it every time I am out somewhere because of what everyone says about them...now I have to go get it..blah

That is too funny! I have heard that once you start you can't stop. All my sister in laws have read/own them and have offered them. Let me know if you need any of them and I can borrow them. At some point when I have a little more free time I would like to see what I'm missing:)

i was totally the same way with these books too. Im reading eclispe now but am not really getting into it. The beginning is definately boring.

We are actually going to Show Low next weekend for the fourth. Gotta love the parade and the best firework display EVER!
